Francesco Faldi, male, born in Perugia (Italy) in 1996, PhD in Physics.

He is currently Post-Doc at Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology, working on Solar Energetic Particle (SEP) events measured by AMS-02.

He obtained the Bachelor and Master degrees at University of Perugia, department of physics, in 2019 and 2021 respectively. His PhD degree was obtained in the same university in 2025.

He worked from 2025 up to 2026 with a researched grant at INFN-Perugia.

His main scientific activity has revolved around the studies of high intensity solar events (CMEs, Solar Jets, Forbush Decreases), focusing on the charged particle fluxes measured by AMS-02. During his master thesis he produced an algorithm to monitor the radiation environment outside the International Space Station in real time. The PhD project was dedicated to the detailed analysis of SEP fluxes with the AMS-02 experiment, with the intent of extracting the properties of their spectra and their temporal behavior. During the period at INFN he also worked in the assembly of the new silicon tracker detector upgrade for AMS-02 at SERMS laboratories (Italy).

He is an active member of AMS-02 collaboration, with which he has published several papers, and CERN member since 2021. He has partecipated at major international conferences on cosmic rays and high energy physics, contributing with several talks.
