Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology Successfully Hosted the International Symposium on Heliospheric Cosmic Rays
The Particle Physics Research Center of Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology (SDIAT) successfully hosted the International Symposium on Heliospheric Cosmic Rays from September 18 to 21, 2023, bringing together global experts to explore cutting-edge developments and future directions in cosmic ray research within the heliosphere.
Centered around pivotal findings from the AMS-02 experiment, the symposium ignited vibrant dialogues across multiple frontiers. Researchers from diverse disciplines shared breakthrough discoveries and engaged in intellectually stimulating discussions that transcended conventional academic boundaries, fostering cross-pollination of ideas throughout the four-day event.
Employing a hybrid format to maximize global participation, the event attracted nearly 40 distinguished scholars from South Africa, Russia, Germany, Poland, the United States, and China, alongside active involvement from SDIAT faculty members and graduate students. This gathering underscored SDIAT's ongoing commitment to advancing cosmic ray research through international collaboration.
