The 65th Shandong Young Scientists Salon Held at SDIAT
On October 28, the 65th Shandong Young Scientists Salon themed "Inheritance of Science and Technology and Breakthroughs in Innovation" was held at the Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology (SDIAT). Nearly 30 participants attended the event, including senior experts from the Shandong Association of Senior Scientists and Technicians, relevant universities and research institutes, as well as experts from the Shandong Youth Federation and young scientific and technological talents in related fields within the province. They conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions. With the theme of "Inheritance of Science and Technology and Breakthroughs in Innovation", the salon aimed to build a communication and cooperation platform for scientific and technological workers of the elderly, middle-aged and young generations.

First, the participating experts and scholars visited SDIAT’s Library, Laboratories and AMS Global Data Center. They gained a detailed understanding of the construction of SDIAT's scientific research platforms and the progress of its scientific research projects. In the keynote report session, Weiwei Xu, a researcher from SDIAT, delivered a keynote report on "The AMS Experiment on the International Space Station". He gave a detailed introduction to the significance and new discoveries of this experiment in the fields of cosmic ray detection and dark matter research. Zhe He, a researcher from SDIAT, focused on topics such as "quantum effects" and "principles and applications of quantum precision measurement". He presented a series of achievements made by SDIAT in the directions of low-temperature optical measurement and entangled light imaging.

In the exchange and discussion session, young scientific and technological talents shared their achievements and confusions in the process of scientific research. The participating senior experts put forward targeted and constructive suggestions on scientific research exploration, achievement transformation, project application and international cooperation based on their own research directions. Fuyun Xu, a professor from Shandong Jianzhu University, pointed out that young scientific and technological talents should keep pace with the times, make full use of talent policies, actively participate in competitions, publish papers and apply for patents. They should pay attention to team cooperation, actively carry out international exchanges, learn advanced experience and improve their own competitiveness. Fuquan Zheng, a researcher from the Institute of Automation of Shandong Academy of Sciences, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary integration and innovative research. He encouraged young experts to break disciplinary boundaries and have the courage to explore the unknown. The young scientific and technological talents all said that they would take this exchange as an opportunity to inherit the rigorous academic spirit of the older generation of scientific and technological workers, adhere to their scientific research ideals, continue to learn and make progress, and forge ahead on the road of scientific research.
