From July 22 to 24, a delegation of Chinese graduate students from eight leading U.S. universities visited Shandong Province for academic exchanges at the invitation of the Shandong Provincial Youth Federation.

From July 22 to 24, a delegation of Chinese graduate students from eight leading U.S. universities visited Shandong Province for academic exchanges at the invitation of the Shandong Provincial Youth Federation.

On the morning of July 23, the ‌High-Caliber Young Talents Exchange Symposium‌ was convened at Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology (SDIAT). During the proceedings, ‌a comprehensive overview was presented‌ by SDIAT leadership regarding institutional development progress and ‌significant contributions made‌ toward advancing national sci-tech innovation. Returnee scholars ‌shared firsthand insights‌ into their post-return professional trajectories and research endeavors, ‌while substantive dialogues were conducted‌ with visiting students. These interactions ‌were strategically designed to facilitate‌ students’ understanding of SDIAT’s institutional mechanisms for attracting, cultivating, and retaining global scientific talent, alongside demonstrable achievements in innovation ecosystems.

Prior to the symposium, the delegation ‌was guided through‌ SDIAT’s Scientific Achievements Exhibition, AMS Global Data Center, and labs. Detailed briefings ‌were provided‌ on SDIAT’s outstanding contributions to international megascience projects, the development of its world-leading cosmic ray scientific database, and breakthrough advancements in fundamental research domains.
