Lin Cheng Holds Talks with Samuel C.C. Ting and Yifang Wang
From December 10 to 13, 2019, Professor Lin Cheng , President of the Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology, led a delegation to Beijing for a series of meetings with Professor Samuel C. C. Ting, Nobel Laureate in Physics and Honorary President of the Institute, and Academician Yifang Wang, Director of the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
During the meetings, Professor Ting and Professor Cheng held discussions on potential collaborative agreements involving the Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology, the Laboratory for Nuclear Science (LNS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) collaboration at CERN. They also conducted in-depth talks on the Institute's future work plans and key research directions.
In addition, Professor Ting, Professor Cheng, and Academician Wang exchanged views on the next phase of collaboration between the Institute of High Energy Physics and the Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology.
