On July 23, the signing and unveiling ceremony of the Joint Laboratory for Advanced Electronic Materials and Intelligent Design, co-established by Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology (SDIAT) and Shenzhen Shengdian New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shinexcita), was successfully held. Qingkui Zhao, Member of the Party Committee and Secretary-General of SDIAT, and Ying Lan, Chairman of Shinexcita, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Ruiqiang Guo, Research Fellow at SDIAT’s Center for Thermal Science Research, presided over the event.


Prior to the ceremony, attending guests visited SDIAT’s library, where they gained a detailed understanding of the institute’s discipline development plans and research platform construction. They fully affirmed SDIAT’s achievements in basic scientific research, institutional innovation, research team building, and talent introduction, cultivation and evaluation.
At the opening of the ceremony, Ruiqiang Guo extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all attending leaders and guests, and briefed the participants on the background and future development roadmap of the joint laboratory.
In her address, Ying Lan noted that the joint laboratory marks a critical opportunity for the industrial sector to connect with cutting-edge scientific research. Focusing on key electronic materials including high-performance PCB substrates, packaging materials and dielectric materials, Shinexcita will take the laboratory as a cooperation platform, leverage SDIAT’s research strengths to overcome industrial technical bottlenecks, accelerate core product iteration and new technology application, and build a long-term industry-research collaboration mechanism.
In his speech, Qingkui Zhao stated that the joint laboratory is an important measure for SDIAT to deepen industrial cooperation and fulfill its social service mission. SDIAT will give full play to its advantages in basic research, talent development and technological innovation, carry out targeted R&D breakthroughs closely aligned with enterprise needs, promote the commercialization of basic research outcomes, and empower high-quality development of enterprises and the whole industry through scientific and technological innovation.


Under the witness of all guests, representatives from both sides signed the joint laboratory co-construction agreement. Qingkui Zhao and Ying Lan jointly unveiled the laboratory plaque, marking the official launch and operation of the joint laboratory.


The establishment of the Joint Laboratory for Advanced Electronic Materials and Intelligent Design represents a key achievement of both sides in deepening industry-research integration and boosting innovation-driven breakthroughs, and has built a direct bridge between enterprise industrial demands and the institute’s frontier research. Going forward, the two sides will deeply integrate talents, sci-tech innovation platforms and industrial resources, and conduct joint technological research on core areas such as AI-powered intelligent material manufacturing and full-chain thermal management of advanced electronic materials. By giving full play to the strengths of AI-driven intelligent material design, both sides will accelerate breakthroughs in key industrial technical bottlenecks, support the independent and controllable development of the high-end electronic material industrial chain, and provide solid support for industrial quality improvement and upgrading.
